Words tend to escape me. I feel so much and wish that I could say so much about each of my couples. However, I’m also a firm believer that pictures tell stories and no words that I could say would do justice for this terrific couple. Kimmy is a dancer and Brandon loves to fish! She wore her mothers wedding shoes and the way Brandon hugged his mom.. well it melted my heart. They had family fly from various areas of the world to celebrate their love and it is an amazing love. Kimmy and Brandon, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two of you. I had the hardest time narrowing my favorites from 70 to 32!

I’m changing things up a little by giving some well deserved kudos to the vendors that made the night so spectacular!

Kenzie Shores: LESLIE! THESE ARE INCREDIBLE!!!

Alison Shoaf: I am loving the one with the fishing poles...so cool how you incorporated his passion!

erica: girrrlll! you outdid yo'self. those are AHmazing!

Saj: I just found your site through I Heart Faces, and as I looked at these pictures, I *knew* you had to be in Destin! I'm in Wisconsin, but grew up going to Destin for spring break. It's been almost 10 years since I've been there, but looking at your photos makes me want to go back! And to renew my wedding vows on the beach there! Beautiful shots!

Kami: Once again, STUNNING! I never get tired of looking at your work. The way you capture the emotion is just priceless. Beautiful job Leslie!!

ohana photographers: absolutely love the bridal party with the fishing poles!!! love it!!

Mandy: It looks like your wedding parties have as much fun doing the photo shoots as they do participating in the actual wedding/reception! I love the photo of the bride and bridesmaids holding the fishing poles on the beach- so unique and artistic!

Amy: I LOVE the close up shot of him kissing her shoulder. My favorite wedding photo of the month!

Alisa Lynn: um, LOVE these! Yes, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!! The lighting is gorgeous, the couple is gorgeous, everything is just gorgeous! Great job ;-)

So are there times in your life when you sit there, eyes wide and think, “ME?!” I remember the first time I got that feeling. I was in middle school (7th grade I believe) and had taken what is called the Florida Writes Test. It’s a writing test that is mandatory and at that time was taken sometime after Christmas. Of course after taking the test I quickly forgot about it because in middle school I had way to much to worry about than some test! Especially one that wasn’t graded on my report card!  However, at the end of the year we have an awards ceremony. I received a few awards for the honor roll and was patiently sitting in the bleachers for the remaining awards to be called out. At the end of the ceremony the presenter said that there were two more awards to be given away. They reminded us that the 7th graders had taken the Florida Writes Test and these next two awards were for the only 2 students to score a 6 which is the highest possible score. As I started to tune them out I then heard my name called. I was speechless.. I had scored a 6?! I was one of two?! Honestly to this day I still don’t believe it because let me tell you, my writing skills have gone down the toilet since I’ve been out of school.

However, this brings me to most recent experience. Last week I received an email from The Blah Blah Blahger also known as Jen or JJ. She told me she had been sent to my website by a fellow blogger and tweeter (is that a word yet?!). She then went on to explain that she has a personal blog where she posts DIY projects, recipe reviews, talks about the tools she uses around the house but that her favorite was a  feature she does called PhotoFANatic Friday. Here’s the kicker.. she then asked ME if I would consider being featured!! Of course I went straight to her blog and checked it out.. you should too because it’s AWESOME! I then realized though that she had featured other photographers such as Jasmine Star, Mary Jane Photography and David Jay. This is the point where I was so humbled. Those are some big shoes to follow in and they are much better writers than I could dream of being but I was thrilled that she would consider me to be featured. So I emailed her back and told her that I would be delighted! I am SO excited and I am so humbled that she chose me for today’s feature!

Jen, thank you so much! Again, I am truly humbled and so blessed. This really meant the world to me and brightened my whole week! If you want to check out my feature you can click the image below!

the BLAH BLAH BLAHger: Leslie, I loved interviewing you!!! Your feature was a fun one and I hope lots of folks get to delve in a little deeper and learn more and fall in love with your style. XOXO, JJ

Christy Lynn: Wow, that's fantastic! You deserve it!

Kami: Congrats Leslie!! So happy for you!!

This wonderful couple came to vacation in Destin last week and back in January Amy called me to book so that they could update their portraits while they were here. We met out at my favorite beach and had some fun! Despite being the most windy day ever we got some great shots!!! I was so grateful that it wasn’t raining!! Here are a few of my favorites!

Courtney Craver: these are cute ;) hope you are feeling better!

When I met Craig and Tori for their engagement session at the end of last summer there were two things that I knew. The first is that they were totally in love and perfect together. The second is that they are possible the sweetest most soft spoken couple I’ve ever met. Sincerity and love radiate from them! It was such a pleasure to be a part of their wonderful day! Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!
