Hello Tweets! Sorry I've been MIA.. just busy is all!!!!!!!! 2010-06-11

I had the privilege to photograph not one, but TWO couples while in D.C. I really had the time of my life and it’s always nice to be able to meet with your couples before the wedding day! That way you know if you “mesh” well as I like to say and we totally do! We hit a few of the same areas that I had the day before and then went over to the Capitol for the end of the shoot. I remember making the comment to Katie and Brad that day that the two shoots that weekend were completely different and boy was I right! You can really tell that Katie and Brad would stay wrapped up in each others arms all the time if they could! We got along so well and I’m excited about their wedding in September!! Don’t forget to take a look at their slideshow!
Jason Lanier: Les, this is one of my favorite engagement shoots that you've done. Great job incorporating the landscape of the area into the photography. Very impressed.
Memories by Micha: WOW!!! This shoot was just fabulous!
Eric Foley: Hi Leslie, I agree with Jason, great work! My fave is the last one, good composition too!
Brad Jordan: Leslie, I cant begin to tell you how wonderful this is. You capture Katie and I, and every time I see this slide show I just get so happy. I am reminded of just how special and unique our love is! Thank You! I cant wait till Sept!
Leslie Roark: Thanks everyone! Brad, I'm so glad that you are happy with the photos.. I can't wait until September either!!!
elite studio wedding photography: Leslie, Nice engagement shots. You do nice work. I am a photographer in Connecticut www.elitestudiophotography.com I always wondered what it would be like to shoot weddings full time in Florida. My whole family lives in boca. One day I will move down there I hope, but to retire. Best wishes, Jeff If you have time check out my new blog, thanks
I had and amazing time in Washington D.C. the weekend before last. I flew in Saturday morning at about 11 and by 12:30 I had already met up with Melissa and Nicholas. Melissa and I knew even before this trip that we were going to become fast friends and we were right! We started off in the city and visited almost every monument. It was the last weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival so it was a little difficult to keep people out of the pictures!! Nick had said he was going to be the third wheel with Melissa and I but I think we managed to avoid all the “girly” stuff we could have talked about! We even made a friend who I now call Mr. Squirrel. It was so cute.. I just wish he had bread or something to give him. He would have come much closer than he did! After walking all around the city we decided to go to “The Old Town” in Alexandria. What an amazingly beautiful town that was! We got more great shots and ate at a Thai restaurant for lunch. The we went back to the hotel to freshen up before we went out for another shoot. I really wanted to get some shots with the monuments lit up behind them and they turned out great! There are a ton of pictures that I could post so here are just a few for the blog. Make sure to watch the slideshow and stay tuned! D.C. Shoot #2 is coming soon!
Kricia: OMG, I wish I could go shoot that wedding with you! They look like such an amazingly fun couple! Fantastic job, as always!!
Jacob Bergmeier: Great Shots! Love that last one...
Melis: Leslie - we are SO happy with the results of our shoot. We had SUCH a blast with you and you captured our personalities so wonderfully. I am absolutely thrilled with the results!!
You're wonderful :)
Jason Lanier: Great shots Les! I'm glad you didn't get arrested or harrassed like me. They do look like a great couple.
Ricki Ford: These are really cool fun looking shots I like them a lot. Great job..
Beadale Photography: What these are incredible, Leslie. YOu did an amazing job. HOpe all is well.
Memories by Micha: Great job as usual!!! It looks like you had a fabulous time ;0)
Leslie Roark: Thank you everyone!!!
hlstewart: So how exactly did you get hooked up with a wedding in DC? I think I might break my no wedding rule for that!
Leslie Roark: I shot a wedding here in Pensacola and Melissa is great friends with the bride. (If you go back to Januray you will see the Pensacola NAS wedding.) Anyway.. Melis loved it and wanted me as her photographer. Her other friend Katie also wanted me as well! Melissa's wedding is actually in Maryland and Katie's wedding is in VA!
Memories by Micha: Leslie you outdid yourself girl! These are by far my favorite so far. Every picture is just breathtaking! I stinkin LOVE these!
I will be headed to D.C. early in the morning for two engagement shoots! I am so excited. I finally get to meet two of my brides face to face. I am so excited! Plus, I have never been to Washington D.C. and I am going during the Cherry Blossom Festival and I know that it is going to be an awesome experience!! So, if I do not return emails this weekend it is because I won’t be available until Monday. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
Melis: Can't wait to meet you Leslie! I hope you love Washington as much as Nicholas and I do!
Jason Lanier: Good luck on your shoots in DC! I'm sure you'll do great.
Jason Lanier: Still waiting for a new post.............
Melis: Me too :) Can't wait to see our pics!!
heather: Hope you loved DC. It is seriously one of my MOST FAVORITE places on earth. I was there in January during the State of the Union and it was like magic!
I know, I'm a dork. I also made my husband promise that after our kids are grown we will live in DC for a year. I think he had his fingers crossed behind his back.
Jason Lanier: still waiting for a post..........
Melis: AH! What a cutie :)
Brad Jordan: Hahaha! Soo cute! Hey, how is she doing by the way? Fever broke?
Leslie Roark: Thanks for asking, Brad! I'm having to take her back to the doctor tomorrow because she keeps running a low grade fever and still had the other stuff. She doesn't seem to be in any pain or anything and she isn't cranky..we just don't know what causing this stuff!
Jason Lanier: Oh mu gosh....she is really growing up!!
Eric Foley: She is so cute! She looks just like you too!
Jason Lanier: New blog post please.
