Melody and her family made their way to Perdido Key for a family vacation recently and wanted beach portraits. That morning.. it looked a little dark outside to me. More dark then usual. So I stepped outside and it was not looking good. I then proceeded to pull up the weather channel and sure enough rain. It’s Florida though.. right?! It passes quickly. So I called Melody and she said it was just cloudy out on the beach. So I headed out. Five minutes away I see lightning at the beach.. uh oh! What am I ever to do?! I pull up to the beach and we made the decision to wait it out. We waited about 45 minutes but I’m so glad we did because once it passed it was beautiful outside! The kiddos didn’t like the sand too much but we still got some great shots! Thank you Melody for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family! Enjoy!

You may recognize these beautiful children because they have graced my blog many times before! I’ve added Mom and Dad again this time.  I adore this family.. they are so sweet and totally adorable! I went back to my hometown for this great session! Enjoy!
This first one cracks me up.. because it’s very typical of children!

Bowden has finally reached the age where he only wants to run around and Brayden said, “I told you so!” She knew he wouldn’t sit with her!

Miss Brayden

March 5, 2009

Throughout middle school and high school I competed in pageants. I remember begging my mom to do the first one saying, “Please Mom!!!!!! I promise that I won’t cry if I don’t win! I just want to dress up and look pretty.” I ended up placing 2nd runner and was hooked. I can’t even count the number of pageants I competed in. I was even the first to win my hometown pageant, Miss Defuniak Springs, after about 50 years of not having one. I always had so much fun and I made some amazing friends along the way.  That being said, I was flooded with memories of this time a couple days ago when Miss Brayden’s momma brought her over so that we could do some head shots for a few upcoming pageants. I curled Brayden’s hair and we put just a few light touched of makeup on for the pictures. She looked like an absolute doll! I’m extremely picky when it comes to little girls looking their age so I did not go in and enhance her eyes or make her skin flawless. I’m a firm believer that little girls should look not only their age but natural and I feel like we captured that appropriately! Here are a few of my favorites!

Days go by..

January 31, 2009

I can not believe how quickly days go by. Does anyone remember this picture?

Kaydence was just shy of 7 months old and her cousin Dawson (not by blood… we can’t have “REAL” kissing cousins!) was right at 11 months.
Tonight we had a mini BBQ and Dawson came over to play… imagine our surprise (yea..right!) when we got this:

I was in the process of shooting some six month photos for Dawson’s baby sister Haiden when we saw them in the car together. Here are a few of my favorites!

Micha: Beyond adorable Dawson and Kay are such a trip!

Mom: My grandbaby has on one of the outfits I bought her. Love it! Is Haiden in a cast?

Leslie Roark: Yes, her foot is slightly turned in so they are trying to correct it before she starts walking.

Kricia Morris Photography: OK, so Haiden is Britt's spitting image! lol...how cute, she's like a little mini-me! Although, I have to admit I see some of Tony in her features too. Those Mosley genes are shining through! :)
